One of the most casino games is Blackjack (21), which is a blend of skill, strategy, and luck.
Unlike in other casino games, good players can obtain an edge over the house. This makes Blackjack one of the few casino games that the odds are in favor of the player. There are various types of Blackjack but all have the same underlying rule, a player must have a better hand than that of the dealer’s, without going over 21 points.

The game of Blackjack has its origin in 17century France. It came to America in the early 1800’s and has been the most popular and favorite casino game in the US.

The basic rules

You play against the dealer and not against the other players. The rules are quite simple. The main objective is to have a higher hand than the dealer’s without going over 21. Once you reach a total exceeding 21, you’re no longer eligible to continue the game.

Card values are as follows:

Two through Ten are worth their face value

Face cards (Jack, Queen, King) are worth 10.

Ace is worth 11 or 1.

if in your two-card hand is 21 points (an ace plus a ten-value card), you have won unless the dealer’s hand is also 21. Then nobody wins.

You can request additional cards (known as “hitting”) beyond the two cards dealt to you to get as close as possible to 21 without going over.

If you went over, it a bust. You play another game if you still have any money left
