The basic rules

Card values are as follows:

• Two through Ten are worth their face value
• Face cards (Jack, Queen, King) are worth 10.
• Ace is worth 11 or 1.

You can request additional cards (known as “hitting”) beyond the two cards dealt to you to get as close as possible to 21 without going over.
